Chloe's achievement
I would like to introduce you to Chloe who is my youngest baby at the centre. Everybody is starting to walk so not wanting to be left out, she has decided to do something for me to mention her on the blog.
“Hi, my name is Chloe and I am 5 and 1/2 months old”
“Oh you want me to put my hands up?”
“Don’t know if I can do it but I’ll try”
“Here we go hands up”
“How was that?”
“One more time?”
“Oops, lost control there”

Someone else is walking
Not wanting to be left behind, Jocelyn suddenly decided that she wants to join the ranks of 'baby walkers'. Here she is walking, just 1 week away from her first birthday.

We ate for charity
This is what durian lovers in the Klang valley did on August 10, 2008. All proceeds from the sale of the durians are for the Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia.
The Children's Wish movement is worldwide and its purpose is to grant a wish to terminally ill children. CWS of Malaysia serves these terminally ill children who reside in East or West Malaysia. When a child is stricken with an illness that cannot be cured, it is something outside anything they did. Most wonder why they are in hospital and not getting better. They wonder why their friends can play outside while they are confined to bed. Our purpose is to fill in this gap by granting a wish that they might make.

Durians of all shapes, sizes and flavours
Volunteers opening the durians for us
The opened durians placed on tables around the area
An enthusiast taking pictures of the fruit
Marie trying out the durian
“Looks alright”
“Smells alright”
The first bite
“Hmm, that was nice”
Update
About 800 people attended making this a successful first ever event. We raised approximately RM 33,000, all of which will be channeled towards the granting of wishes.
Side effects of eating durians and how to prevent it
Most people love eating durians but unfortunately, durians are very 'heaty' and some people complain of sore throat after eating durians. Below are a couple of things you can do to reduce the heatiness effects.
Immediately after enjoying your durians eat some mangosteens which is 'cooling'
Put some salt and water into one of the durian shell.
Stir and drink the mixture to prevent sore throat.
Wash your hands with water flowing from a durian shell to get rid of the durian smell on your hands

Babies and sleep
A common question among parents is how much sleep the baby or child needs. Parents worry if a child is not sleeping enough, if the child is sleeping too much and even if the babies sleep just the right amount. There is just something innate about being a parent that inspires worry. However, knowing how much sleep is appropriate for your baby will give you a basis of whether you should worry or not and this article can only serve as a guide.
